Lemon Rose

The first BN meeting of 2008 was held at Lemon Rose Tea Garden in Randburg. It was a small meet - mainly because the weather was miserable but it was loads of fun and I think so far was the longest one we have had!

Jeanette, Navasha,Tanya,Nicci, Madi, Marlise and I were all there and Louise briefly popped in.

The venue was a last minute decision - Tres Jolie - our first choice has not re-opened. While Lemon Rose is a beautiful venue their service has left a lot to be desired in past encounters, but they did surprise us and the waitress who helped us was friendly and pretty efficient. Lemon Rose is still one of the few places that is fairly reasonable and depending how long you sit and how much wine you drink you could probably get away with R100 (thats for me and 2 kids) which really isnt that bad!

Despite the mud and miserable weather the kids had a lovely time and we all got to chat while the wine flowed!

So much so that we all moved to Marlises house when it came closer to closing time. Needless to say the wine kept flowing and the kids kept playing!!

All in all it was a GREAT meet and GREAT way to start the year.
